What Are the Different Bundle Types in Burdi? |
Burdi gives you many ways to build a Bundle, plus a shared library called The Passport. Picking the right type keeps your pricing consistent and makes life easier for the techs in the field.
A Standard Bundle is the simplest type. It has one table of materials and one table of labour. Use it when there is only one version of the job — for example, a single fixed price for a service call.
Using one Bundle with several options is easier to maintain than building three separate Bundles. If the labour time changes, you update it once instead of three times.
Tip: The picture shown in The Burdi Button defaults to the most expensive product in the Bundle. If you do not want the premium option shown, either leave it out of the Bundle or set a Bundle image (see below).
A Bundle Kit groups several smaller Bundles together. Use a Kit when the quantity of each part is not fixed — for example, a switchboard upgrade where the tech needs to enter how many 10A, 16A, 20A, 25A and 32A safety switches are required.
Kits also support add-ons — optional extras like an earth stake, surge protector or isolator that the tech can add to the quote with one tap.
The Passport is the shared library of pre-built Bundles. When you take a Bundle from The Passport, Burdi creates a copy in your own account under Sales Management > My Bundles. That copy is what you edit, and that copy is what appears in The Pitcher Book.
If you cannot find a Bundle to edit, you are probably still looking inside The Passport. Go to Sales Management > My Bundles to find your editable copy.
