What is Bundles V2?

Bundles V2 is Burdi's enhanced Bundle system that introduces Environments, option bundles, add-ons, and improved workflow for creating and presenting quotes to customers.

🚀 Key Features in Bundles V2

Bundles V2 introduces several key improvements over the original Bundle system:

  • Environments — different pricing structures for customer types (residential, commercial, VIP). These were formerly called "Categories" in version 1

  • Option bundles — good, better, best product selections within a single Bundle

  • Add-ons — suggested additional Bundles when creating quotes

  • Kits — Bundles that contain other Bundles for complex jobs

  • Enhanced presentation — professional quote layouts with multiple options

🏢 Environments

Environments allow you to apply different pricing structures to the same Bundle based on customer type. You can name and create your own Environments to suit your business. Examples include:

  • Residential — standard pricing for homeowners

  • VIP — discounted pricing for premium customers

  • Commercial — adjusted rates for business customers

  • Builder 1, 2, 3 — different rates for various builders

Each Environment can have different labour rates, markup adjustments, Contingency, and sundries.

⚡ Bundle Types

Bundles V2 supports three main Bundle types:

Standard Bundles

Traditional Bundles with fixed products and labour — ideal for straightforward jobs like fan installations, light fitting replacements, or basic tap repairs.

Option Bundles

Bundles that offer multiple product choices (good, better, best). The system automatically arranges options from most expensive to cheapest, allowing customers to choose their preferred quality level. Perfect for toilet replacements or hot water system upgrades.

Kits

Complex Bundles that combine multiple other Bundles — perfect for comprehensive jobs like split system installations that include the unit, electrical work, and additional components, or complete bathroom renovations.

🔧 Pricing Methods

Bundles V2 offers three pricing approaches available to each Environment within a Bundle:
  • Dynamic Price — automatically calculates based on current material costs

  • Fixed Gross Profit — maintains a set profit percentage regardless of material cost changes

  • Fixed Price — set dollar amount that never changes (ideal for marketing campaigns)

📱 Availability in ServiceM8

All Bundles except for Kits will be available in ServiceM8. ServiceM8 can only absorb one Environment per Bundle, so the Environment furthest to the left in the Bundle builder is the one that gets exported to ServiceM8's catalogue.

To use additional Environments or Kits, you must apply them to the job through the Burdi App — either in Bundle Search or The Pitcher Book feature.

📝 Note: The Pitcher Book feature provides enhanced customer experience with professional quote layouts, ability to create up to 3 quote options automatically, email quotes directly to customers, customer acceptance and online signing, and automatic integration back to ServiceM8.
