Uploading your price file (also known as a price book or product list) into Burdi is usually quick and easy — but sometimes the upload can fail or get stuck.
If your file won’t upload, don’t stress. In most cases, it comes down to a few common formatting issues.
Use the troubleshooting questions below to get things sorted fast.
One of the most common reasons a price file won’t upload is simply the file size.
✅ Burdi allows up to 5,000 products per upload.
If your file contains more than 5,000 line items, the upload may fail or time out.
Fix:
Split your product list into smaller files (e.g. 3,000–5,000 products each) and upload them one at a time.
Blank cells can interrupt the upload process, especially if there are gaps in important columns.
Even a single empty row or missing value can cause the price file import to stop unexpectedly.
Fix:
Before uploading:
Remove all blank rows
Make sure every product line has values filled in
A clean, continuous spreadsheet works best.
Price files exported from suppliers or other systems often include lots of extra information — and that can slow things down.
Having multiple unnecessary columns can make uploads take much longer or cause errors.
Fix:
Only include the information Burdi actually needs, such as:
Product Code
Description
Buy Price
Unit of Measure (UOM)
Tax Rate
Keeping the file simple = faster upload and fewer issues.
