If you’ve ever browsed a product in Burdi and noticed that the pricing meter is missing, you’re not alone. The pricing meter is designed to give you real-world insight into what other trades and businesses are pricing for the same product. It’s a helpful guide that lets you quickly understand whether your sell price sits above, below, or right on the industry average.
But sometimes, the meter won’t appear — and that’s completely normal.
Burdi’s pricing meter is powered by aggregated, anonymous data from other Burdi users who purchase and catalogue the same product. This allows you to see a reliable average price based on what others are paying.
For the pricing meter to be accurate and useful, Burdi needs enough users actively buying and using that specific product.
If only a handful of businesses have added or purchased the item, there simply isn’t enough data to generate a meaningful or trustworthy average.
When this happens, Burdi hides the meter instead of showing unreliable pricing.
If you don’t see the pricing indicator, it’s not an error — it just means:
Not enough Burdi members are using that product yet
There isn’t sufficient pricing data to provide an accurate comparison
As more businesses adopt the product in their catalogues, the pricing meter will automatically appear.
