How can I Stop Materials from Changing Your Quoted Price?

When working with quoted jobs, you may want Burdi to export materials into ServiceM8 without affecting the quoted value. This can be done by sending materials across at a $0 sell price.

Why Would You Do This?

Quoted jobs already have a set value agreed with your customer. If materials were exported with their full sell price, they could unintentionally increase the quoted job amount.

By exporting materials with a $0 sell price:

  • Your quoted price remains unchanged.

  • Materials are still tracked in ServiceM8 for accuracy and record-keeping.

  • You avoid confusion when reviewing quotes and invoices.

How to Enable This Setting

You can control this in your Burdi account settings:

  1. Log in to Burdi.

  2. Go to Settings.

  3. Select ServiceM8 Settings.

  4. Tick the option: “Export Material to Quoted Job at $0 sell price.”

Once enabled, any materials sent to ServiceM8 on a job that is marked as Quoted will export with a $0 sell price automatically.
