What does Suppress Line Items to ServiceM8 mean?

 Suppress Line Items to ServiceM8

When using bundles in Burdi, you don’t always want the individual purchased items within those bundles to push through into ServiceM8. If they do, you can end up with duplicated costs in the job total, which can confuse both your team and your customers. That’s why Burdi provides the “Suppress Line Items to ServiceM8” setting — it ensures that only your bundle is exported, without the extra line items inflating the total.

What This Setting Means

The Suppress Line Items to ServiceM8 option in Burdi stops individual purchased materials from being exported into ServiceM8 jobs. Instead, only the PDF is attached to the job.

This prevents ServiceM8 from showing both the bundle and the purchased items, which would otherwise duplicate values and distort your job totals.

Where to Find This Setting

You can find this option within Burdi’s  ServiceM8 Settings:

  1. Go to Settings in your Burdi account.

  2. Navigate to the ServiceM8 Settings section.

  3. Locate Suppress Line Items to ServiceM8.

  4. Tick the box to stop Burdi from pushing individual purchased items into ServiceM8 jobs.

When You’d Use This Setting

This setting is most useful in the following situation:

  • Using Bundles:
When you create bundles that already include materials and pricing, you don’t want the individual purchased items to flow into ServiceM8 as well. Suppressing line items avoids duplication and keeps your job totals accurate.
