Quantity Required Bundles

Quantity Required Bundles are designed for jobs where the scope can vary depending on the quantities needed on-site.

These bundles allow technicians to select how many of each item is required during the quoting process, making them ideal for variable installations such as switchboard upgrades and circuit work.

While Burdi’s newer Bundle Kits offer a more advanced solution in many cases, Quantity Required Bundles still provide a fast and flexible way to build scalable quotes in the field.

Built for Variable Jobs

Some jobs are never exactly the same.

For example, when replacing switchboard internals:

  • One property may require two safety switches
  • Another may need six
  • Different circuit sizes may also be required

Instead of creating separate bundles for every possible variation, Quantity Required Bundles allow technicians to simply enter the quantities needed on-site.

How It Works

Inside the bundle, you can configure:

  • Primary product options with selectable quantities
  • Supporting products that are always required
  • Labour allocations
  • Environments and pricing

For example:

  • Safety switches can have adjustable quantities
  • Supporting items like busbars and main switches remain fixed because they’re required regardless of the quantities selected

This creates a flexible bundle structure while still ensuring critical materials are always included.

Simple Workflow for Technicians

When the bundle is selected in the app, technicians are prompted to enter the quantities required before the bundle is added to the cart.

For example, they may enter:

  • Two 10-amp safety switches
  • Four 16-amp safety switches
  • One 32-amp safety switch

Once confirmed, Burdi automatically builds the bundle with the selected quantities and adds it directly into the quote.

Faster and More Accurate Quoting

Quantity Required Bundles help:

  • Reduce manual product entry
  • Improve quote accuracy
  • Speed up on-site quoting
  • Ensure required materials are included consistently

Instead of manually building every variation from scratch, technicians can adjust quantities within a pre-built framework.

A Stepping Stone Toward Bundle Kits

While Quantity Required Bundles are powerful, Bundle Kits often provide a more scalable long-term solution because they allow labour to scale dynamically with each included bundle.

However, Quantity Required Bundles still remain a highly useful option for jobs where:

  • Quantities vary regularly
  • Labour remains relatively fixed
  • Fast field adjustments are needed

Flexible Quoting for Real-World Jobs

Quantity Required Bundles give businesses a practical way to handle variable installations without sacrificing structure or consistency.

By combining flexible quantities with predefined materials and pricing, Burdi helps technicians quote faster while maintaining reliable outcomes across every job.
