Passport Lounge Recap – 24 June 2026

Thanks for joining Passport Lounge!

This week we spent quite a bit of time discussing how to create more detailed, professional quotes that clearly explain the work being completed.

What we covered

Adding a Scope of Works

A member asked how to include a room-by-room scope of works inside a Pitcherbook.

Rather than creating one large block of text each time, we demonstrated how Item Notes can be used to:

  • explain exactly what's included
  • break work into rooms or stages
  • provide additional customer information
  • answer common questions before they're asked

This creates a much clearer and more professional proposal.

Using Item Notes

We walked through:

  • where Item Notes are located
  • how to create reusable notes
  • copying and pasting standard scopes
  • attaching notes to relevant bundles

Many businesses build a library of commonly used notes which can be reused across future quotes.

Improving customer understanding

We also discussed how customers often struggle to understand technical bundle names.

Adding clear explanations and notes helps customers understand:

  • what they're purchasing
  • what's included
  • why the work is required

This often leads to greater confidence and fewer questions after sending a quote.

Live Q&A

The session finished with general Passport questions covering quoting workflows, Pitcherbook best practice and everyday Burdi tips from the community.

Top Tip

Build yourself a library of reusable Item Notes for common jobs such as:

  • Switchboard upgrades
  • Renovations
  • Smoke alarms
  • Lighting
  • Power
  • Air conditioning

You'll save time while producing much more detailed quotations.
